Alexandre Pastoris Muller

Prof. Muller holds an undergraduate degree in Physical Education and a master’s degree, a doctoral degree and a postdoctoral degree in Biochemistry from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He has worked in international laboratories such as Instituto Ramon y Cajal (Spain), University of Albany (USA) and Lausanne University (Switzerland).
“His research line is aimed at studying the metabolism of the central nervous system with a special focus on neuroendocrine, mainly insulin action in the brain and environmental factors such as aging, models of cerebral dementia, diets, physical exercise and the development of new molecules that can modulate the brain activity and affect disease mechanisms”
