and Pharmacology Laboratory

Prof. Zanotto Filho holds an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and a doctoral degree in Biochemistry from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He has carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth), United States.

“His research is focused on understanding how oncogenes and tumor suppressors loss- and gain-of-functions may modulate mechanisms not limited to their classical role in cell cycle control and DNA damage response, but also those associated with the tumor microenvironment, intratumoral inflammation, and metastatic spreading”
